Robert Purvin begins his second year at Minnesota Morris in 2022-23 as co-Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach for the football program, as well as the Director of Baseball Operations.
Purvin joins Minnesota Morris after spending three seasons at Benedictine University, an NCAA Division III institution in Lisle, Ill. A 2016 graduate of Bethel College in Kansas with a degree in Health and Physical Education, Purvin was a two-year team captain and a student coach within that program before returning to the Chicago area where he worked as a strength & conditioning coach for a number of years.
Joining the Benedictine staff in 2018, he coached the linebacking unit for the Eagles and assisted with recruiting efforts for the team. One of the linebackers from his tenure at Benedictine earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Defensive MVP honors, as well as All-Region and All-American honors.Â
