The Cougars had their chances early, with the first of four first-half corner kicks coming just five minutes into the match. The Viking defense was up to the task though, standing tall to prevent a quality shot from the Cougars.
Minnesota, Morris (9-6-4, 8-4-2 UMAC) finished with a 7-to-1 edge in on corners in the match, with Bethany Lutheran (12-7-1, 9-4-1 UMAC) getting their lone attempt in the second overtime.
