The Cougars put over 60 shots on goal in the two matches, including 40 against Martin Luther. Matt Johnson scored midway through the first to beat Bethany Lutheran, and Toby Glaser scored late in the second and in overtime to beat Martin Luther.

Northland was shutout in their last two meetings, but most recently dropped a hard fought overtime game contest 1-0 to Northland International on Oct. 11. On Oct. 7 the LumberJacks fell 4-0 to St. Scholastica.

With three games in the books in the last week, St. Scholastica is riding a rare two-game losing streak, dropping a pair of non conference games on Oct. 9 and Oct. 12. The most recently fell in double overtime, 1-0 to UW-Superior, after falling 1-0 to UW-Oshkosh just three days earlier. The Saints most recent win came over Northland on Oct. 7, where they teamed up for four goals in a 4-0 rout.

Earlier this season
The Cougars current three-game winning streak started against Northland, with their best offensive game of the year in a 7-0 win. Ebrima Badgie scored the game's first three goals over a seven minute span, and the rout was on. Four total Cougars joined in on the scoring, with Badgie also adding an assist for a seven-point day.

In their first meeting with St. Scholastica, the Cougars won everything but the final score. The Cougars outshot the Saints 13-to-6, including a 5-to-1 edge in shots on goal. The Saints made their one on goal count though, scoring a lone second half goal that was the difference in their 1-0 win.
