Duluth, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris men's soccer team is still left trying to figure out St. Scholastica, falling 1-0 today (Oct. 16) for the second straight time.

A win would have moved Morris (7-4-2, 6-2-0 UMAC), ahead of St. Scholastica (11-3-1, 7-0-1 UMAC) in the UMAC standings, but instead the loss leaves them two back in the loss column with just two weekends of play left.

The Saints outshot the Cougars 7-to-1 in the first half, and scored the game's only goal at the 39:45 mark with Kyle Farrar putting away a crossing pass from Joe Watt.

The Cougars outshot the Saints 5-to-4 in the second half, but couldn't get the ball to the back of the net, with their only two shots on goal stopped by CSS keeper Sam Reed.

The six shots are a season low for the Cougars, and are less than half fo the 13 they posted against the Saints in the first meeting.

The loss snaps the Cougars four-game winning streak, and leaves the only two losses in their last eight games coming at the hands of the Saints. However, the Cougars have not allowed multiple goals to an opponent since the season opener.

The Cougars will now get to close out the regular season at home, playing their last four games at Cougar Field. It starts with Northwestern on Oct. 20, in a game that will have positioning for a home playoff berth on the line, as the two teams battle for second in the league standings.

The Eagles and Cougars are scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start.
