MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris comes into the weekend with an opportunity to clinch a spot in the UMAC Playoffs. A pair of wins would give them a spot in the tournament. Currently UMM is in second place with 24 points and a win over St. Scholastica on Friday would put them just three points shy of the conference leader.
On September 15, the Saints of St. Scholastica were able to beat the Cougars 3-1. It was a 1-1 match until late in the second half when the Cougars were forced to play with 10 men following a red card.
Ebrima Badgie picked up the goal for the Cougars. Kickoff is Friday at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, the Northland Lumberjacks will be on the pitch at Cougar Field. Earlier in the year UMM beat the Lumberjacks 3-0 in Ashland, Wisconsin.
