The Minnesota Morris Softball team plays host to Martin Luther in their home opener today (Apr. 5) at 3:00 p.m. at Cougar Field. The Cougars return home after playing their first 12 games on the road.
Last Time Out: Most recently, the Cougars swept a doubleheader at Presentation, taking the games 8-0 and 8-3 on Apr. 2. The first game of the twin bill was also the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) opener, starting the Cougars off on the right foot in league play. Also on Apr. 2, Martin Luther dropped a pair of games, 1-0 to Bethany Lutheran to start UMAC play, and 6-2 in nonconference action to Finlandia.
For the Record: Morris enters the game at 2-10 on the season, and 1-0 in UMAC play. Martin Luther currently sits 1-9 on the year, with a 0-1 mark in the UMAC.
