Offense Explodes in Victory

Box Score ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The offense exploded in a big way on Thursday night as Minnesota Morris (6-7, 5-2 UMAC) took down Crown (3-8, 2-5 UMAC) 11-0. Shingo Yamane had a hat trick and an assist to lead the offense.  
 
Ebrima Badgie got the Cougars on the board in the eighth minute and then John Hastings made it 2-0 about 15 seconds later. In the 17th minute Momodou Jallow scored his first career goal on an assist from Matt Vik, his second assist of the match. Yamane netted the first of his three goals in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute Yamane and Seth Krueger picked up the assists on Austin Keller's goal. The final goal of the first half came in the 36th minute when Devin Chuba got the ball to William Wachutka, who scored. In the first half Morris had six goals on 15 shots.
 
The Cougars were almost as productive in the second half scoring five goals on 12 shots. Yamane scored goals in the 48th and 64th minute to complete his hat trick. Ravi Butler scored a goal in the 73rd minute and then after Michael Ward scored in the 81st minute, Butler added another goal in the 83rd minute.
 
Crown and Minnesota Morris will meet again on Saturday in Morris.
