Box Score MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (9-7, 8-2 UMAC) kept up their winning ways on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Martin Luther College (4-11, 3-7 UMAC). Shingo Yamane and Ebrima Badgie had the goals in the match. Momodou Jallow and Matt Vik picked up assists on the afternoon.
 
In the 18th minute of play Jallow fed a through ball to the feet of a streaking Yamane. Yamane took one touch and beat the keeper to his right. Morris controlled possession through a majority of the first half, out shooting the Knights 9-1.
 
The Cougars maintained control in the second half adding 14 more shots. In the 70th minute Trent Holmes hit a free kick into the far side of the box. Vik headed the ball toward the frame it hit a defender before falling at the feet of Badgie. Badgie volleyed the ball over the keeper and just under the crossbar to put UMM up 2-0. The score line would stay that way late as Morris took the match 2-0.
 
Next up for the Cougars is a road trip to St. Scholastica and Northland. The Cougars sit six points shy of the Saints for the lead in the UMAC.
