Eagles, Cougars Draw

Box Score MORRIS, Minn. - With the second seed in the UMAC on the line the Cougar's would host Northwestern on Saturday afternoon.  Both teams played tough and physical with a total of 19 fouls on the Eagles and 14 on the Cougars.  The match went into overtime tied at one and it stayed that way for the duration. 

In the first half the Eagles would get on the board first when Joshua Wolderich would head the ball into the net off a cross from the right side from Mark Habeck at the 36th minute.  The Eagles held a 1-0 lead heading into the half.
               
Morris would respond in the second half, in the 75th minute Matthew Bennis would get a pass from Ebrima Badgie and kicked it into the net to tie the game up at 1-1.  The game would then head into overtime and even double overtime but neither team was able to get another goal and the game ended in a tie, giving the Cougars the 3rd seed and the Eagles the 2nd seed in the UMAC tournament. 

Morris will now travel to Northwestern for a rematch on Wednesday afternoon for a place in the UMAC championship game.
