DULUTH, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's track and field team finished second on Saturday with 143 points.
Chalmer Combellick and
Nate Walters walked away as UMAC Conference Champions.
Chalmer Combellick set a UMAC Indoor record in the one mile run finishing in a time of 4:21.92, almost six seconds faster than the previous mark. Walters took first in the shot put with a throw of 13.34m winning by just .01m or four inches. FULL RESULTS
Ryan DeRoeck and
Nathan Harder finished two, three in the 60m hurdles. DeRoeck finished in a time of 8.63, setting a new school record, and Harder finished in a time of 8.73. DeRoeck then took third in the high jump with a height of 1.80m and in the triple jump with a mark of 12.36m.
Josh Lozancich took fifth in the 400m in a time of 54.64.
Zeke Miller took second in the 60m dash in a time of 7.14, third in the 200m, finishing in 23.46 and third in the long jump with a distance of 5.92m.
Ian Karlsrud finished fourth behind Miller in the long jump coming in with a mark of 5.87m as well as fourth in the triple jump getting out to 12.26m.
Ken Broden took second in the 800m run with a time of 1:59.71.
Daniel Tiernan took second in the 5000m run in a time of 16:51.74 finishing ahead teammate
Charles Abraham who took fourth in a time of 17:44.06.
Nate Walters also took third in the weight throw with a toss of 14.59m.
The men's distance relay consisting of
Anthony White, Zachary Smith,
Willie Wachutka and Daniel Teirnan took second in a time of 11:19.93. The 4x200m relay team of
Nicholas Solberg,
Terrance Chastan-Davis,
Roumy Desir and Lozancich took second in a time of 1:38.37.
