ST. PETER, Minn. - The women's track and field team held their own on Saturday afternoon as they had seven top eight finishes at the Drake Alternative. The men had two, led by
Zeke Miller's fourth place finish in the 100m.
Kaylie Clark took second in the javelin and Kaitlinn Kamm had two third place finishes to lead the women.
RESULTS
Kaylie Clark threw 39.62m in the javelin as she continues to impress in her best event. Kamm took third in the 100m hurdles in a time of 16.18 and third in the high jump with a mark of 1.57m.
Kat Nelson took third in the shot put with a throw of 12.59m. Alexander Sandberg was fourth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.78. Amber Hoise was sixth in the javelin with a launch of 31.42m and Alicia Doeer was seventh in the long jump with a mark of 4.92m to round out the top eight finishes.
Miller took fourth in the 100m with a time of 11.17.
Ryan DeRoeck was eighth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.61.
The men and women will now compete in the Cobber Twilight on Monday in their final prep meet before the conference meet next weekend in Morris.
