DeRoeck Leads Cougars at Hamline

ST. PAUL – Ryan DeRoeck's four top ten finishes headlined the Cougars performance at the Hamline Meet yesterday. Between the men and women, Minnesota Morris had 12 top ten finishes. Alicia Doerr and Kat Nelson were the top performers on the day, finishing third.

DeRoeck took fourth in the 110m hurdles and the triple jump; he finished the 110m hurdles in 15.84 and jumped 12.51m. He took ninth in the 400m hurdles in a time of 58.16 and then took tenth in the high jump with a height of 1.83m.
 
Ben Kettler took fourth in hammer throw with a distance of 42.93m beating out teammate Nate Walters, who took seventh with a toss of 42.55m. Zeke Miller took fifth in the 100m in a time of 11.32. Nathan Harder rounded out the men who finished in the top ten as he took seventh in the 110m hurdles in a time of 15.96.
 
Nelson took third in the shot put with a toss of 12.47m and then took sixth in the hammer with a throw of 44.52m. Doer took third in the long jump with a distance of 4.94m. Jennifer LaRoque took eighth in the high jump with a height of 1.55m.
 
Next weekend the Cougars will be at the Lee Krough Invitational in St. Peter, Minn. On April 20, the Cougars will host the Morris Open on the campus of Minnesota Morris.
