MORRIS, Minn. – The men's soccer team will try to stay in second place in the UMAC as they head out on their final road trip of the regular season. Minnesota Morris (6-4-2, 5-1-2 UMAC) will finish up with five straight home matches to wrap up the season.
North Central (1-10, 0-8 UMAC) is the opponent on Friday at 1 p.m. as they look for revenge after a 2-0 loss to UMM on September 27. The following day the Cougars take on Northwestern (4-9-1, 4-3-1 UMAC) at 4 p.m. Earlier this season the Cougars scored six goals in their biggest margin of victory this year.
The middle of the UMAC is packed with four teams within six points of each other. The Cougars have recovered from a slow start to the UMAC season to win five of their last six matches.
A pair of wins this weekend would provide them with at least an eight point lead over the fifth place team with four matches to go.
