EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Cougars (18-8) were swept by #21 Millikin (20-5) on Friday night, 25-20, 25-22, 25-16.
Abby Tietz led the way with eight kills and
Emily Auch added six.
Marissa Ekness led the defense with ten digs.
Brooke Decker had 14 assists setting up the offense.
Millikin jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the first set. The Cougars pulled all the way within two at 21-19. Millkin would hold on though and take the set 25-20.
Morris led early in the second set but could not hold the lead as Millikin rallied and took the lead at 11-9. The set would go back and forth before Millikin took a 21-19 lead late in the set. The lead would grow to 24-21 before they put away the set 25-22.
It was all Millikin in the third set as they jumped out to a 12-4 lead and did not look back. They would end up taking the set 25-16 clinching the match.
