MORRIS, Minn. – After a pair of impressive wins last weekend the men's soccer team will head north to play Northland (3-6, 1-4 UMAC) and St. Scholastica (8-2, 5-9 UMAC). The Cougars (3-3-2, 2-0-2 UMAC) will look to close the gap on St. Scholastica, who is out to a seven point lead in UMAC play.
Minnesota Morris started the weekend with a 6-0 win over Northwestern, a match that featured six different goal scorers. The following day Morris took care of North Central 2-0.
Northland is coming off a 0-2 week, dropping a pair of one goal matches. Northland's lone UMAC win was a 2-1 victory at North Central.
St. Scholastica has been dominating to start the UMAC season, outscoring their opponents 51-3 in five matches.
The Cougars defense did not allow a single shot last weekend in a great defensive effort. They will look to continue that type of defense effort this weekend and come back to Morris with six points.
