MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (11-4-2-, 9-1-2 UMAC) wrapped up a home UMAC Tournament game after beating Bethany Lutheran (5-11-2, 5-5-2 UMAC) on Saturday by a score of 2-0. The Cougars outshot the Vikings 4-0 in the match putting 12 on net.
It took until the 65
th minute but
Luqman Barre netted a goal from the top of the 18, putting the ball in the upper part of the net.
William Wachutka had the assist on the goal.
Zachary Jacobson continued his late season scoring binge, giving the Cougars some insurance in the 80
th minute.
Michael Schuweiler found him on a corner kick and Jacobson put it in the net.
The Cougars will take on St. Scholastica and Northland next weekend before they host the UMAC Semifinals on November 4. The opponent will be determined based off the results around the UMAC next weekend.
