ASHLAND, Wis. – The women's soccer team took care of the Northland Lumberjills 3-0 on Friday afternoon. Three different Cougars had goals on the day. An early goal gave Morris a 1-0 lead and then they scored two late goals to ice the game.
Christina Mollan put Morris ahead in the 11
th minute, scoring thanks to an assist from
Carly Denler. The Cougars would have 15 shots in the first half but the score remained 1-0 at the break.
Rachael Berns made it 2-0 Cougars in the 84
th minute and then
Kebra Rogers scored thanks to a penalty in the 90
th minute to make the final score 3-0.
Tomorrow the Cougars play St. Scholastica in the UMAC Game of the Week at noon.
