Cougars and Saints Play to Draw

DULUTH, Minn. – Torri Jordan made eight saves on the day as the Cougars and St. Scholastica tied 0-0 after two overtimes. In the UMAC Game of the Week, neither defense was going to let down, holding the opponent scoreless.

The two teams battled to the tie after 110 minutes of play. Scholastica had five shots in the opening 24 minutes of play but could not find a way to break through. Jordan would have four saves in the half and the UMM defense had two blocked shots. Morgan Delaney's header was the lone Cougar shot in the half.

The second have was much of the same as St. Scholastica had the advantage in shots in the half. They nearly broke the tie in the 78th minute when a shot in the crossbar but stayed out of the goal. The Cougars had two shots blocked and one saved in the second half.

St. Scholastica had all the chances in the overtime period, even hitting the post in the 107th minute but could not score.
