In their first match up in St. Paul, the Eagles picked up an 81-74 win. The Cougars got a little bit of revenge in Morris, winning 67-54. These two teams last met in the UMAC Tournament in 2011, also in the UMAC Championship in Morris.

Last night the Cougars knocked off Martin Luther in the semifinals while Northwestern beat St. Scholastica in Duluth.

Minnesota Morris remains one of the best teams in the nation in rebounding and blocked shots, which has helped them keep opponents in the low 60's several times this season. Northwestern comes into the game with 102 blocks this year, which ranks 82nd in the nation.

Three Eagles average over ten points per game, led by Mollie Sir who scores 15 points per game, doing most of her damage from three. Chanel Madson also likes to shoot the three and averages 14.1 points per game. Madson and Sir each rank in the top fifty in the country in three pointers made per game. Their inside presence is Jessica Fife, who averages 12.3 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game.

Morris counters with a lineup that can get scoring from many different sources. Kendra Wycoff and Emily Auch lead the scoring, averaging 13.8 and 12.6 points per game respectively. Tori Holt comes off the bench to score 9.3 points and grab 5.9 rebounds per game.

The Cougars also get contributions from Kayla Kraemer, Cori Becker, Maja Coomes, Jordan Zickermann and Brooke Decker offensively. Coomes, the team's seventh leading scorer, had 14 first half points for the Cougars in the UMAC semifinals. Abby Fragodt fills out score sheet by leading the team in rebounding and blocked shots as well as being second in assists. Fragodt is also coming off a season high 11 points in the UMAC Semifinals.
