MANKATO, Minn. – The women's soccer team kicked off the UMAC season in style, beating Bethany Lutheran 4-0 on Friday afternoon.
Molly Hancuh scored a goal just 36 seconds into the game, giving Morris the quick 1-0 lead.
The quick start continued as
Christina Mollan scored in the tenth minute, making it 2-0. It was Mollan's third goal of the season.
Kelsi Kolle had an assist on both of the first two goals of the match.
Emma LaChance also added a first half assist.
Early in the second half
Meaghan Delaney scored her first goal of the year thanks to a nice corner kick from Mollan. LaChance added a goal of her own in the 72
nd minute, thanks to an assist from
Casey Will.
Minnesota Morris did not give up a single shot on goal in the match and held BLC to just two total shots. The Cougars will now take on Crown tomorrow at noon in St. Bonifacius.
