ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The Cougars (3-4, 2-0 UMAC) picked up a 3-0 win over Crown (2-4-1, 0-2 UMAC) on Saturday to improve to 2-0 in UMAC play.
Molly Hancuh scored a goal for the second straight game.
Kelsi Kolle added the other Cougar goals, scoring eight minutes apart but in separate halves.
Hancuh had a breakaway in the 20
th minute and deposited in the back of the net for her third goal of the season. The Cougars are now 3-0 and when she scores a goal this season. Kolle delivered a goal on the Cougars 15
th shot in the first half, heading the ball past the keeper thanks a great cross from
Lindsay Clay.
Kolle helped the Cougars start fast in the second half, scoring her second goal of the match in the 51
st minute. It was the first shot of the half, meaning Kolle scored two goals on back-to-back shots.
Morgan Delaney had the shutout, stopping the lone shot she faced in the game.
