MORRIS, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris (4-4, 3-0 UMAC) women's soccer team made it three straight shutouts, beating Northwestern (1-6, 1-2 UMAC) on Friday afternoon.
Emma LaChance had a pair of first half goals to spark the victory.
The scoring stared in the sixth minute finishing off a cross from
Christina Mollan. Less than nine minutes later LaChance took a shot outside the box and bent it around the diving keeper making it 2-0. Twenty minutes after the second goal
Carly Denler scored a goal by depositing a loose ball inside the six yard box.

Molly Hancuh had the assists on the goal.
Morris outshot Northwestern 10-2 in the first half. They also had eight corner kicks in the first 45 minutes of play.
The Cougars iced the match in the 77
th minute when Hancuh scored a goal on long shot. Morris will now welcome North Central to Cougar Field at noon. The Cougars can go over .500 with a win tomorrow.
