Box Score NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (1-3) looked to be headed to another overtime but a 78^th minute goal for St. Olaf (3-0) gave them a 2-1 victory on Sunday. Shingo Yamane scored a goal off a set piece for the Cougars, his second goal of the season.
 
St. Olaf took a one goal lead in the 2^nd minute of play, scoring a shot inside the box. They would hold onto that lead through the first half and into the second half. Morris was outshot 14-1 in the first 45 minutes of play but trailed by just one.
 
The Cougars and Yamane took advantage of a set piece and tied the game in the 59^th minute of play. St. Olaf took advantage of a Cougars mistake in the 78^th minute to get the go ahead goal and held on for the 2-1 victory.
 
Morris now turns their head to UMAC play which begins September 19 at Bethany Lutheran.
