SUPERIOR, Wis. – Minnesota Morris picked up their second straight UMAC victory on Saturday, beating Wisconsin-Superior 2-0.
Ivie Brooks had both goals for the Cougars on the afternoon.
Brooks put the Cougars up 1-0 in the 23
rd minute, chipping the ball over the keeper after a pass from
Emma LaChance. Morris racked up nine shots in the first half, including six on goal. The defense did not allow a shot to get through to keeper
Torri Jordan.
In the 64
th minute Brooks was at it again scoring her second goal of the game and giving UMM a 2-0 lead. The YellowJackets offense managed seven shots on goal in the second half but Jordan made seven saves to earn the clean sheet.
Tomorrow the Cougars will host Wisconsin-River Falls at 3 p.m. Fans have a chance to win prizes at the match.
