MORRIS, Minn. – The Bethel Royals (4-7-2) came to town on Tuesday and left with a 4-0 victory over Minnesota Morris (3-11). The Royals scored three goals in a span of 22 minutes in the first half to gain control of the match. Morris finished with four shots on goal.
 
Bethel threatened right away but Jacob Gindt cleared a ball off the line in the first minute to keep the Royals off the board. Unfortunately in the tenth minute Bethel broke the scoreless tie with a nice individual effort from Kevin Hintz. They doubled their lead in the 20^th minute. Another Royals goal came in the 32^nd minute, when Ryan Nichols' free kick found the foot of Carson Tomas.
 
The match went to half with the score reading 3-0 in favor of Bethel. The Royals outshot Morris 11-3 in the first half. The half featured eight corner kicks, six for BU.
 
Joshua Bartels nearly put the Cougars on the board in the 57^th minute but the Royals keeper made a nice diving save to keep the match 3-0. Late in the half Deo Mungruriak volleyed home a free kick to push the score to 4-0.
 
Minnesota Morris will be back at home this Saturday when they host Crown in a crucial UMAC match at 3:15 p.m.
