MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (5-11, 5-4-1 UMAC) clinched the three seed with a 3-1 victory over North Central (6-9-2, 4-5-1 UMAC) on Saturday. The Cougars will play at Wisconsin Superior in the UMAC Semifinals on November 4^th. Morris has two more regular season games remaining.
 
Joshua Bartels helped the Cougars get off to a quick start by scoring a goal in the seventh minute. The match stayed 1-0 until the second half. It was a competitive first half of play with Morris edging the Rams 6-5 in shots.
 
North Central tied the match in the 54^th minute with a header. Zachary Jacobson put the Cougars back on top in the 68^th minute. With the Rams pushing for the tying goal late in the match the Cougars were able to put the game away with another goal by Bartels in the 85^th minute. Morris finished with a two shots on goal advantage in the game.
 
Minnesota Morris will be on the road at Concordia-Moorhead tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
