MORRIS, Minn. – St. Scholastica (5-5-2, 4-1 UMAC) scored a pair of goals in each half to beat the Cougars 4-0 on Saturday afternoon. It was the third straight loss for Minnesota Morris (3-5, 2-3 UMAC) in UMAC play, marking the first time in program history that has happened.
The Saints out shot UMM 21-2 on the day and 13-0 in shots on goal. St. Scholastica went up 1-0 in the 31
st minute scoring a goal off a corner kick. They doubled their lead in the 39
th minute.
The match stayed 2-0 until the 82
nd minute when the Saints got on the board again. Just a minute later it was 4-0 and that is where the match ended.
The Cougars will try to rebound on Wednesday when they travel to New Ulm for a match against Martin Luther.
