MORRIS, Minn. – The Cougars (14-11) start the trek toward a UMAC Tournament Championship tomorrow night when they host St. Scholastica (14-11) at 5:30 p.m. Morris, the two seed, will host a team that they split the season series with. It is the third time in four years the two teams will meet in the UMAC Semifinals.
Morris is in search of their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2011 after wrapping up a sixth straight regular season UMAC title. On Jan. 24 the Cougars beat the Saints 69-64 in Morris. In the trip to Duluth the Cougars lost 70-61 on Feb. 6.
Kendra Wycoff leads the Cougars this season, averaging 15.9 points per game. In her career she ranks sixth in all-time scoring with 1,451 points.
Emily Auch is second on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game while adding 7.5 rebounds per game.

Connor Lewis ranks 6
th in the NCAA with a 2.81 assists-to-turnover ratio. She leads the team and the conference with 76 assists on the year.
The key factor in the win over the Saints during the regular season was the Cougars ability to turn the Saints over and score points off those turnovers. Morris was able to overcome the Saints finishing the game with a higher shooting percentage.
On the season the Saints have got scoring from a trio of players. Mariah Hovick leads the way with 12.2 points per game. Kelsey Sorenson-Griffrow is second on the team with 10.3 points per game. Brittani Brennan is the Saints third leading scorer with 8.8 points per game.
St. Scholastica does their rebounding by committee, they average 36.6 rebounds per game, but no player has more than five rebounds per game.
The winner of Wednesday's game will take on the winner of the Martin Luther at Northwestern semifinal.
