MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (8-10, 6-1 UMAC) softball will be back in action tomorrow as they set to host a pair of doubleheaders this weekend. Northwestern (4-19, 4-1 UMAC) will be the opponent tomorrow followed by North Central (1-11, 0-5 UMAC) on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars are coming off a sweep of Martin Luther on Wednesday and are trying position themselves for a great finish to the UMAC season following this weekend. The Cougars will have ten more UMAC games after this weekend. Morris will have just four more home games left in the regular season after Saturday's doubleheader.
The Morris pitching staff has seemed to settle in over the past three games, holding opponents to three runs or less in each game. UMM beat Northwestern 4-3 last Friday in the West St. Paul Dome.
Five Cougars are hitting over .345 on the year, led by senior catcher
Molly Olson who is hitting .388. Olson leads the team with 23 RBI on the year.
