ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Morris started off the UMAC season in style, beating Northwestern 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

It was a fast start for Morris as
Emma LaChance scored in the fifth minute of play. She was assisted by
Carly Denler on the play.
Molly Hancuh made it 2-0 in the 44
th minute scoring unassisted.
The Cougars defense did their job keeping the Eagles off the scoreboard through the second half. That clean sheet was almost gone in the 86
th minute but a header by UNW went just wide. Offensively Morris got all they needed in that first half.
