ST. PAUL, Minn. – The women's soccer team fell 5-0 to Augsburg on Sunday evening. The Auggies scored early and used that momentum to control much of the match. Morris was only able to get off three shots in the match.
Augsburg found the back of the net for the first time in the third minute following a blocked shot. Almost exactly twenty minutes later they scored again, this time thanks to nice shot. The match went to break with that score line.
Torri Jordan made six saves in the first half.
Ivie Brooks' shot on net was saved to keep UMM off the board in the 45
th minute.
In the second half Augsburg went on the offensive early scoring three times in the first ten minutes of play. The Cougars could not get much going offensively and the match ended 5-0.
Jordan finished the day with 12 saves after facing 17 shots on goal.
