MANKATO, Minn. – Five Cougars were in action on Saturday at the MSU Open at Minnesota State. It was the first track and field meet for Minnesota Morris in 2016. The day featured three top-10 finishes for Morris.
Otto Marckel was ninth in the 600m with a time of 1.33.80. Mike
Shamund Gordon was ninth in the long jump in his first college meet. He also ran the 60m in a time of 7.74.
Justin Terry finished ninth in the 200m with a time of 23.36.
Terry also reached the 60m semifinals and took 14
th after clocking a time of 7.16.
Mike Okeson was 12
th in the mile with a time of 4:56.07.
Teja Foy ran in the 60m and 200m dash on Saturday. She ran the 200m in a time of 27.63 to finish 18
th and the 60m in 8.49 to finish 21
st.
