COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota Morris track and field had their final tune up prior to next week's UMAC Championship in Superior, Wisconsin. The Cougars finished the meet with five individual champions, two on the men's side and two on the women's side.
Justin Terry was first in the 60m and 200m dash. Sami Brinkman won the weight throw and
Teja Foy won both the 60m and 200m dash.
Terry won the 60m in a time of 7.06 and the 200m in a time of 22.96. Foy won the 60m in a time of 8.12 and the 200m in a time of 26.88. Brinkman won the weight throw with a distance of 15.66m, a throw she had during prelims. With the throw she re-broke her own school record.
Alicia Doerr finished third in the 60m dash in a time of 8.19; she was also second in the long jump with a distance of 5.02m and third in the pole vault with a height of 3.10m.
Sidney Paulson was second in the 400m dash, crossing the line in a time of 62.21.
Laura Borkenhagen was fifth in the 800m run with a time of 2:31.20.
Laura Borkenhagen took second in the mile run, crossing the line in a time of 5:25.84.
Carly Denler jumped 1.43 in the high jump to take fifth.
Cole Kvistero was third in the 60m hurdles edging his teammate
Bennet Appel who was fifth.
