ST. PETER, Minn. – Minnesota Morris competed in the Drake Alternative on Saturday, their final tune up before next week's UMAC Championships.
Teja Foy,
Sidney Paulson,
Emily Ciesynski and
Alicia Doerr set a new school record in the 4x100m relay in a time of 50.36.
Foy won the 200m in a time of 25.64, setting a new personal best. Additionally, she was second in the 100m dash, finishing in a time of 12.45.
Justin Terry took first in the 100m and second in the 200m on Saturday. He won the 100m in a time of 10.75 and then set a new personal record in the 200m in a time of 21.87.
Paulson had a top five finish in the 400m with a time of 1:00.42. Doerr was second in the long jump with a mark of 5.05m.
Cole Kvistero ran a 16.35 in the 110m hurdles to finish fifth.
Bennet Appel was sixth and
Zach Smith was ninth in the same event.
Devan Griffin jumped 12.87m in the triple jump to finish fifth.
Shamund Gordon was seventh in the same event after a mark of 12.15m.
Mackenzie Ferguson threw the hammer 45.39m to take sixth place.
The men's 4x100m relay team took second in a time of 44.01. The team consisted of Gordon, Terry,
Eli Chapple and Griffin.
Rachel Wingenbach was fourth in the 5000m run, finishing in a time of 19:51.
Four Morris runners;
Laura Borkenhagen,
Katherine Novak,
Elisabeth Anderson and
Hannah Goemann all finished in the top-11 in the 800m run.
