Play continues in Florida for baseball team

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - After a day off Thursday, the Minnesota Morris baseball team resumed play Friday and today at the Central Florida Invitational.

Olivet 16, UMM 3
The Cougars reached double figures in hits with 10. Nine different Cougars recorded a hit, including Mitch Baumann who picked up a pair. Mac Brink had an RBI single and Brady Jergenson delivered a 2-RBI double. Jackson Gessell tied the program record for career triples with 16.

Lawrence 13, UMM 2
Zach Kuefler, Gessell, Blaise Fairbanks, Trent Johnson, and Nash Kramer all had base hits. Fairbanks' sixth-inning single drove in two runs.

Minnesota Morris (1-8) is back on the diamond tomorrow for a doubleheader against Bard College.
