DULUTH, Minn. - In home games moved to Duluth, Minnesota Morris dropped a doubleheader to St. Scholastica Saturday in UMAC baseball action.
Game 1: CSS 17, UMM 1
St. Scholastica scored four times in the fifth and eight more times in the sixth to put the game away. The Cougars run came in the fifth.
Trent Johnson led off the inning with a single. He moved to second on a single from
Jackson Gessell. Two batters later,
Thomas Eckstein delivered a two-out, RBI single to plate Johnson. Gessell had two of the Cougars' seven hits, which included a double.
Game 2: CSS 18, UMM 2
The Saints used another big fifth inning (10 runs) to help gain another victory over the Cougars on Saturday.
JT Weiman pitched an inning and a third of scoreless, hitless relief for UMM.
Minnesota Morris (3-15, 2-2 in UMAC) stays on the road to play Bethany Lutheran Sunday at Northwestern's field turf in St. Paul.
