Women's Soccer Handles LumberJills

Cougars defeat Nothland, 4-1

MORRIS, Minn. - The Minnesota Morris women's soccer team (3-6, 1-3 UMAC) dropped the visiting LumberJills (1-9, 1-2 UMAC), 4-1, on a cold wintery day to get their first conference win of the 2019 campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Hannah Pedderson would use a well placed header off the corner kick of Sam Tate at 32:08 of the first half to give the Cougars lead.
     
  • Sam Tate would take a penalty kick at 49:46 and convert that into a 2-0 lead.
     
  • The Lumberjills would get on the board at 56:04 cutting the Cougars lead in half.
     
  • Hannah Pedderson would use another Sam Tate corner kick to get the 2 goal lead back at 61:04.
     
  • Brook Lorentz would create some more scoring on her own at 73:45
