MORRIS, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris women's soccer team (2-5-0, 0-2-0 UMAC) dropped a 2-1 decision to Bethany Lutheran (6-5-0, 2-0-0 UMAC) Saturday at Big Cat Stadium. The game was played at Big Cat Stadium due to pending darkness.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior Sam Tate converted a penalty kick in the 29th minute to put the Cougars up 1-0.
- Maddie Perry tied the game at 1-1 in the 63rd minute.
- Perry then put the Vikings in front of the Cougars, 2-1, in the 67th minute.
- Minnesota Morris outshot Bethany Lutheran, 14-11, including a margin of 10-3 in the first half.
NOTABLES
- Tate converted her first career penalty kick attempt.
- Tate has accounted for every Cougar goal this season via goal or assist.
