ST. PETER, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris volleyball team (4-8) was defeated by Gustavus (7-6) in three sets (25-14, 25-17, 25-19) Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars were unable to overcome a 17-10 deficit in the first set as the Gusties took the opener, 25-14.
- UMN Morris kept it close late in the second set at 18-16, but Gustavus scored seven of the last eight points en route to the 25-17 victory.
- The third set saw Gustavus use a late 9-2 run to capture the 25-19 win and complete the sweep over the Cougars.

- Everson and Tinjum each recorded an ace.
