MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris volleyball team (5-8) topped Concordia (4-10) in four sets (25-21, 21-25, 27-25, 25-19) Saturday afternoon inside the Cougar Sports Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the Cougars built a 19-13 lead, Concordia tallied six-straight points to tie things up at 19-all. With the score close late, UMN Morris scored five of the final six points to take the opening set, 25-21.
- The second set saw the Cobbers use a late run to capture a 25-21 victory.
- In the third set the two teams went back and forth, but eventually the Cougars were able to outlast the Cobbers, 27-25.
- The Cougars built a 15-6 lead and never looked back en route to a 25-19 set four win and match victory.
