ST. PAUL, Minn. – University of Minnesota Morris sophomore defender
Caroline O'Donnell (Kailua, Hawaii/Kailua HS) was named the UMAC Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for her work in a pair of Cougar victories over the University of Northwestern and Northland College last week.
O'Donnell never left the field for 180 minutes as Minnesota Morris rolled to 3-0 and 4-1 wins over the Eagles and LumberJills. Both of those teams managed only four shots on goal in each of the two matches and Northland's lone goal came after the Cougars had already netted three times in the opening 20 minutes.
The Minnesota Morris women's soccer team won again today, 2-1, over Martin Luther College. The Cougars (3-1-0, 3-0-0 UMAC) are in action again on April 17, hosting the University of Wisconsin-Superior at 2:30 p.m.
