MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota Morris women's soccer team went on the road and notched a 3-0 win over North Central University. The win improves the Cougars to 4-11-2 (4-7-2 UMAC) on the season.
The first half featured Minnesota Morris on the front foot much of the way. The Cougars enjoyed an 8-5 edge in total shots in the opening 45 minutes, though four of the North Central shots were on goal.
Chantel Peralta was in goal for UMN Morris and stopped everything sent her way, while the Cougars got on the board in the 27th minute when

Maddie Schneider for her first career goal.
Minnesota Morris doubled its lead in the 64th minute. After a foul was called on North Central, a free kick into the middle of the field was brought down by
Bella Toth and played forward to
Kim Peters. Peters was able to create some space from the NCU defender and put her ninth goal of the campaign into the upper corner.
A corner kick created trouble for the North Central defense again in the 75th minute. Schneider's delivery made it over the top to the back post and
Kay Von Behren hit an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net to make it 3-0.
Peralta finished with the shutout on the afternoon, making seven saves. Toth led the Cougar offense with three shots (two on goal), while LaFrinier added two shots on goal.
