MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's soccer team fell to Hamline University, 6-0, on Thursday evening in Morris, Minn.

With the result, the Pipers improve to 2-1-2 on the season, while the Cougars drop to 1-4-1.

Hamline wasted no time getting on the board, scoring just 36 seconds into the match. The Pipers dominated possession early and extended their lead to 3-0 before the 20-minute mark.
Ashlynn Pollreisz recorded the first shot for the Cougars, but it was easily saved by Hamline goalkeeper Isabella Jensen. From there, the Pipers maintained control, limiting opportunities for Minnesota Morris and ultimately securing the 6-0 victory.

Minnesota Morris recorded three shots on goal, with Pollreisz tallying two and
Emma Buzinec registering the other.
Caitlin Lau and
Brianna Ganske played the full 90 minutes in the field, while
Katelin McElroy made her season debut and fired one shot off target. Goalkeeper
CJ Frear-Boerner made five saves in net.

The Cougars will return to action on Saturday with a 5 p.m. road matchup at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
