Â
"Overall, a tough result but there are some positives to take away such as Johnette getting her first goal of the season with a really nice run in behind and seeing a couple of players return from injuries and step up," said head coach
Emma Morris. "I thought Zivi (
Ziviara Cordova) had a good game today on the wing as well."
Â
Minnesota Morris goalkeeper
CJ Frear-Boerner was tested early, making her first save in the second minute. Despite several early stops, UW-Superior broke through in the 22nd minute with the opening goal. The Yellowjackets doubled their lead just before halftime.
