Box Score MORRIS, Minn. – Central College controlled the Cougars offense for most of the afternoon on the way to a 4-0 defeat of Minnesota Morris. UMM was outshot 15-3 on the day and they did not concede a shot on goal during the match.
Emily Saville got the Dutch off on the right foot, scoring on the Cougars in just the third minute of play. She added her second goal of the afternoon about 25 minutes later, putting Central up 2-0. Felicia Roppe tacked on a goal before half, giving Central the 3-0 lead at the break.
The Cougars played better in the final 45 minutes of play but could not break through the Central defense. Emily Benson scored in the 60
th minute for Central putting the game on ice.
Torri Jordan had four saves on the afternoon for UMM.
Morris will look to rebound on Monday as they host Augsburg College at 2 p.m. at Cougar Field.
