Minnesota Morris is on a five match winning streak after improving to 4-0 in UMAC play last week. There are just nine more matches left in the regular season for the Cougars, who are six wins away from another 20 win season. It would be the fourth straight 20 win season for Minnesota Morris.

Cross Country

A select group of the men's cross country team will head to the AAE Cross Country Invitational in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The race will begin at 11:15 for the men. The rest of the cross country team will head to the St. Bonifacius Invitational.

It is the final tune-up race for both the men and women before they compete in the UMAC Championships on October 31st in Buffalo, Minn.

The AAE Cross Country Invitational will include 14 nationally ranked teams. The races at the St. Bonifacius Invitational will begin at 10 a.m.

Football

UMM will try to recover from a tough loss last weekend with a home win over Crown College. Morris is looking to end a two game losing streak to the Storm.

Over the last two games the Cougars have racked up 580 yards rushing and eight rushing touchdowns. Last season Morris was able to tally just 483 yards and one rushing touchdown. In 2013 Morris rushed for 976 yards and 14 touchdowns. This season UMM already has 877 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Kicker John Hoff is 7-7 on the year and ranks 25th in the country in made field goals per game. He is one of 5 kickers in the nation who are perfect on the year. He is one of two kickers who are perfect with over six fields goals made this year.

Minnesota Morris ranks 38th in the nation in red-zone Scoring, getting points on 85.7% of their opportunities.

Crown is averaging 20 points per game this season. They have an extremely balanced offense, averaging 162.5 yards on the ground and 160.3 yards through the air this season.

Defensively, the Storm are allowing 34.0 points per game. Teams have been able to run and pass for more than 200 yards per contest.

Women's Soccer

Saturday the Cougars will honor a pair of seniors before they take on Crown in a crucial UMAC match. Emma LaChance and Ivie Brooks will be recognized for their contributions to the squad.

Currently the Cougars sit in fifth place with just three UMAC matches left in the year. The good news for UMM is that they play two teams who are below them in the standings, three wins would give the Cougars 8.5 points in the conference standings. Morris also has some momentum after winning their last two UMAC matches.

Men's Soccer

The men's soccer team is currently on the outside looking in when it comes to the UMAC Tournament projections. The good news for Morris is they have three winnable games ahead of them, including one with a team that is just .5 points and one with a team that is one point ahead of them in the standings. A win over Crown would be a good way to start the final stretch of the UMAC season.

Beating Crown would snap a three match four match losing streak, including three in UMAC play. During that streak the Cougars offense has gone silent, failing to score a goal.
