LA CROSSE, Wis. – With the Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships drawing ever closer, the Minnesota Morris men's track & field team sent a pair of individuals to the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open on Friday looking to improve on their performances from earlier this season.

Edmund Cease competed in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase and submitted a time of 11:00.35, finishing fourth in the race. Cody Nye, ranked in the top 50 in the shot put nationally, was looking to improve on his best distance from this season a week after winning the UMAC championship in the event, but was unsuccessful in three attempts. 

Minnesota Morris will have one last chance next weekend to improve on its marks from this season before the Division III Championships the last weekend of May.
