About Minnesota Morris
The Cougars welcome back each of their top six scorers, including four who tallied double-digit points in 2010. Leah Parker led the way with 26 (12G/2A), but Zoe Bergstrom was not far behind with 20 points (7G/6A). Katie Kestner (5G/1A) and Meghan Laird (4G/3A) each finished with 11 points. The Cougars out-goaled their opponents 37-to-26, while averaging over 15 shots per game, compared to just 11 that they allowed. Morris played nearly even with their opponents in the first half last season, but turned on the heat in the second, outscoring their opponents 23-to-15 in the period, on the season.

About North Central
The Rams placed fifth at last year's NCCAA DII tournament, topping Kentucky Christian in the fifth place game. They closed the season with wins in three of their final four games, and won five of their last eight, after a three-game skid midseason. Against UMAC opponents last season, NCU went 0-5.

About Hamline
The Pipers enter their game with Morris, already 1-0 on the year, having hung a 5-0 victory on UW-Superior in the opener. A young squad that features only two seniors, and 20 freshman or sophomores will look to improve on last year's last place MIAC finish. After opening last season with wins in three of their first four games, the Pipers closed 2010 with just one win in their final six games. When the Cougars and Pipers met up last season, it was Hamline coming away with the 1-0 victory in Morris.

About Central
The Dutch will also be coming off a season opening win, topping Grand View 2-1 on Sept. 1 After giving up the first goal of the game, Central scored two unanswered in the second half to seal the win. Central suffered through seven losses before their first win last season, finishing with just two victories on the year. Each of those wins came at home, but Central was shutout 10 times on the year. A pair of six point scorers led the way last season, with no one scoring more than three goals on the year.

After their Labor Day road trip, the Cougars will return to Morris to face UW-Superior in the home opener in Sept. 10. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
