The Cougar baseball team is currently looking to rebound after dropping three games to conference powerhouse St. Scholastica. They return home today (Apr. 10) for a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader with Presentation, ending a six-day, six-game road trip for the Cougars. Then with a few days off, Morris will travel to St. Paul, Minn. to take on Northwestern on Apr. 13 and 14.

Storyline: The Cougars need to get back on track in UMAC play and put an end to their current four-game conference losing streak as they try to position themselves for the conference tournament.

For the Record: The Cougars are 3-16 on the year with a 3-4 record in conference action. Presentation begins the week at 7-14 overall with a 3-4 mark in the UMAC, while Northwestern is 11-9 on the year and 5-1 in conference play.

Last Time Out: The Cougars opened the week with a rough sweep at North Central in nonconference action. They first lost 10-8 on a walk-off homerun in the eights, and then fell 9-3 in the capper.

Last Season: The Cougars split two-game series' with both the Saints and Eagles last season. The opened with a 5-4 win over Presentaion, before losing in a shootout 13-10, and against Northwestern avenged a 6-0 loss with a 5-3 to close the doubleheader.

About the Cougars: 3-0 at home … Nick Perrotte leads the team with a .367 batting, 22 hits and just four strikeouts in 60 at-bats, and is second on the team with 10 runs scored … Eric Terres leads the team with nine walks, and 14 stolen bases in 16 attempts … Mike McGill leads the team with eight … four players have started all 19 games … Perrotte and Terres are the only two players to hit above .300 and combined for 14 of the teams 29 multiple hit games … Jake Johnson leads the team with a 2.83 ERA, 24 strikeouts, 28.2 innings pitched, and has the team's only team shutout ... Johnson was UMAC Pitcher of the Week last week … Logan Orazem's 4.40 ERA and 14.1 IP are each second …

About the Saints: Defeated the Cougars in their first meeting this season 10-0 … Heath Giedt leads the team with a .351 batting average, 77 at-bats, 27 hits, eight doubles, slugging .455 and it third on the team with .378 on base percentage … Sam Koenecke leads the team with 16 runs ranks and also ranks second on the team with a .306 batting average, third with 19 hits, fourth with three doubles, fourth with a .355 slugging percentage and second with a .442 on base percentage … Matt Kervin leads the team with a 2.61 era and opponents only hit .286  off him … Heintzman leads the team with three wins, five complete games, 38 innings pitched and 30 strikeouts.

About the Eagles: One of just two UMAC teams with a winning record overall … Cody Kielsa leads the team with .446 batting average, .692 slugging percentage, 29 hits, 21 runs, seven doubles, three triples, 45 total bases and .500 on base percentage … Zach Markwith ranks second on the team with .338 batting average, leads the team with 74 at-bats and 19 RBI, second with a .432 slugging percentage and is 8-for-10 in stolen bases … Taylor Kauweloa is batting .296 and ranks second on the team with 13 RBI, third with .381 slugging percentage and third with six walks … Tyler Campion leads the team with a 3.71 era and is fourth on the team with 21 strikeouts … Andy Peterson leads the team with four wins, four complete games, 41 innings, and tied for the lead in strikeouts with 33.
