Box Score MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris Cougars (6-3, 5-1 UMAC) won their sixth match in seven with a 4-0 win over the North Central Rams (2-7, 0-6 UMAC). Four different Cougars scored on the day, all in the second half to give UMM the victory. Head Coach

Early in the first half the Cougars looked poised for a goal as they constantly were finding their way into the Rams box but could not find the back of the net.
Ally Heida had UMM's best chance to score in the first half when she lined up at the spot for a penalty kick in the 34th minute. Her shot hit the right post and off the keeper out of bounds keeping the Eagles and Cougars tied at zero heading in to the halftime break.
Morris had 15 shots in the first half but only two fell on goal.
Justine Wolf led the Cougars with four shots in the first half.
Ally Heida and
Katie Kestner had the two shots on goals for UMM.
The Cougars had golden chances early in the second half as well with a pair of breakaways but it was the Rams keeper, Noelle Stordock who made two big saves.
The offense then exploded in the 67
th minute when
Emma LaChance crossed the ball in the box and
Rachael Berns put it home for the 1-0 lead. Just over two minutes later
Kelsi Kolle chested the ball in the in to the net on a cross from
Zoe Bergstrom.
Thirteen minutes later LaChance scored her second goal of the year after receiving a cross from
Sarah Timpane. Less than eight minutes later and just before the final horn sounded
Ally Heida scored off a free kick from about 18 yards out to make the final score 4-0.
